For door supervisors employed by established security companies, encryption is strongly recommended. While password protection offers some security, encryption provides a much stronger defense. Compliance with GDPR mandates secure storage of footage, making encryption crucial. In the unfortunate event of camera theft, encryption significantly reduces the risk of breaching legal obligations.
The Partner DEMS streamlines file management but is optional for non-encryption users. However, without a DEMS license, managing encryption becomes more cumbersome, requiring manual downloading of footage instead of automated processes. The Partner DEMS makes life for door staff much easier by simply allowing them to dock their camera and leave it to charge without any further actions required to download it.
Unlike cloud-based systems, The Partner MK4’s local installation involves software residing on a physical computer. All data, including footage, remains stored on that computer, eliminating cloud-related costs. Embracing this approach, The Partner MK4 provides a cost-effective, secure solution without ongoing storage or licensing expenses.
The camera’s battery life hinges on usage settings. Continuous recording, higher resolutions, and frame rates, especially 60FPS at 1080p, consume battery faster. Sensitivity of infrared adds to power usage. Typically, using 1080p resolution with pre-record yields approximately 8 hours of continuous recording, making it suitable for most door supervision scenarios. Most door staff however will record only when an incident occurs giving them an even longer battery life.
The Partner MK4 comes with a standard KlickFast stud, ensuring seamless integration with existing security uniforms and equipment equipped with a KlickFast dock, right out of the box.
