The Partner MK4 police body camera comes with the Cam Manager and Decrypter software a standard. If you wish to use The Partner DEMS, you will need a license. You only need one license to run multiple cameras as it is a lifetime license per computer. If you need to run two instances of the DEMS of two different computers, then you will need two licenses.

The Partner MK4 can be compared favourably against most body camera police models that are in service today. Specification wise, it records in the same or higher resolution, lasts the same or longer and tends to be more rugged and less prone to breaking. The Partner MK4 is also one of the few solutions that does not require network access, cellular data or WIFI in order to function.
Absolutely, yes it can. The Partner MK4 was designed to be as rugged and robust as possible, from its completely sealed outer shell down to its lack of screen and removeable parts. There are no external weaknesses in the body and it has been sealed thoroughly with ingress rating of IP67. It has also been drop tested to 1.8 metres.
In recent years, things like front facing screens and articulated lenses have emerged as a common sales gimmick for UK body camera manufacturers. Screens are naturally the weakest point on a camera. Front facing screens will break even faster than screens that are protected against the user’s body. Articulated lenses are particularly bad as a feature because one only needs knock the lens to make the camera take footage of the floor. Adjusting an articulated lens also takes a fair bit of time. Fixed lens cameras that or mounted on the same part of the body day in and day out doesn’t have this issue. A suspect would need to rip it from the body to prevent being recorded.
Unlike some systems, The Partner MK4 and DEMS only have two one off costs. When you buy a The Partner MK4 body camera, you own it out right. The Partner DEMS operates off of a single computer lifetime license which means that you only need to pay once to use the software. If you want to run two instances of the DEMS at the same time, you will need two licenses. You can run as many The Partner MK4 body cameras on a single license as you want.
Cloud storage has quickly taken over as the industry standard for police forces in the UK. While most companies have forgone locally installed solutions, we have doubled down on them. To run the DEMS, a police force would need to simply just have a PC at a central location where all footage files will be stored. Officers could then drop their cameras in after a shift and the DEMS would automatically download, clear and charge them.
It does this in a number of ways. Recorded footage is encrypted on The Partner MK4 police body worn camera at the point of recording. There is no way for footage to be accessed without first bringing the camera back to base as there is no screen or interface on the camera itself. In order to access the footage, the DEMS has password protected user profiles that control the level of access given to each user. This prevents officers from performing actions in the software that they shouldn’t. The Partner DEMS further has an Audit Log that records all actions undertaken in the system, why they were undertaken by and when.
The industry standard for police and law enforcement in the UK is the KlickFast locking system with most modern police uniforms with have a KlickFast dock or two installed. The Partner MK4 body camera comes with a KlickFast stud as standard which allows you to use any existing compatible equipment.
If you wanted to use The Partner MK4 police body worn camera without The Partner DEMS, you can. The Partner MK4 would essentially be a plug and play camera in this situation. If you wanted to still use encryption, you would need to use the included decryption software which is more laboursome than using the DEMS.
This depends entirely on how long you use it and what settings you have set. The extra large battery allows for up to 100+ hours of standby, so if you are using basic settings and have not done a lot of recording, you could go a few days. If you are running a high resolution or pre-record then it might be worth charging at night. How often you should download the camera will also depend on how much footage you have captured and at what resolution. The H.265 encoding stretches the 32GB storage further than ever before but it will require downloading at some point.
As stated above, use and settings are the main factors in battery life. If you set a low resolution and disable pre-record, this should help extend it significantly. How low you should set it will depend on your needs and proprieties. You could get up to 15 hours of continuous recording on 480p but then picture quality wouldn’t be the best. 1080p acts as a good medium with up to 12 hours of battery life when recording non-stop. Only recording during incidents will extend this massively.

Absolutely, The Partner MK4 is one of the more advanced night-vision capable body cameras available. It uses an advanced CMOS sensor for low-light environments and when lux levels approach near darkness, the Infra-red lamps kick in automatically record with a range of up to 15 metres. Footage recorded using infra-red is in greyscale.
Yes, The Partner MK4 police body camera is great for all weathers. As stated above, it is tightly sealed and has an IP67 rating of IP67 with a minimum operating temperature of -30°. Rain, snow or shine, The Partner MK4 is made to resist the elements.
