The Partner MK4 makes a great body camera for trading stands, civil enforcement and local authority employees for a number of reason. It is highly robust, offers very high quality video and audio recordings, is GDPR compliant, has an integrated DEMS system and is one of the most competitively priced professional body worn cameras available.

There are only 2 main components to The Partner MK4 system, the body camera itself and The Partner DEMS software. Once setup, you can start using the body camera immediately as it comes with a KlickFast stud and Crocodile clip as standard. If you want to use it with a harness, The Partner MK4 is compatible with any official KlickFast dock. This means that if your local authority or trading standards uniform has a KlickFast dock on it already, you will be able to use it with the MK4.

Yes, The Partner MK4 has advanced audio filtering technology that will focus in on sounds in the foreground while reducing the affect of ambient noise. This allows footage to be recorded with a clear audio track even when near busy road, in a flat with loud music or anywhere else a trading standards or local authority officer might find themselves.

One of the great things about The Partner MK4 system is that it is designed to be a single upfront cost with no ongoing renewal or licensing fees. This means that when you purchase the body cameras, they are yours outright. The Partner DEMS likewise is a one-off fee for a lifetime license per computer that the software will be run on. As long as you are only running it on one pc, you will not need a second license.

This all comes down to the secure all footage captured requirement of GDPR. If a camera is stolen before it can be downloaded then if there is any way for someone to view that footage, the organisation that lost the camera would be in breach.

You can run The Partner MK4 as a plug and play camera using the cam manager software only. It requires a few more steps to download and clear cameras and does not offer the same level of organisation and security as the DEMS but is doable. If you want to encrypt the camera but don’t want the DEMS then you can use the free decrypter software that comes with the camera.

Yes, The Partner MK4 comes with a KlickFast stud as standard meaning that you should be able to connect it to any existing security uniform or equipment that has a KlickFast dock straight out of the box.

A local installation means that the files or software are stored on a physical computer on site or at a local authority control room. A cloud solution means that it is stored on a remote computer at a data centre. A local installation has some advantages and draw backs when compared to a cloud solution. The main benefit is that you do not require internet to access and download footage. This also means that you do not require network access which makes dealing with the IT department simpler. There are no ongoing cloud storage or data usage fees with a local install. No internet access however means that you can’t access footage remotely and can only interact with it at the physical computer.

This depends on what settings you are using and how often you press record. The 3200mHA battery offers up to 100 hours of standby and 15 hours continuous recording. This is affected by resolution and whether you have pre-record on. If you are only recording incidents and a few a day then you could potentially go several days without having to download/recharge the camera.

Absolutely, The Partner MK4 body worn camera comes with a KlickFast stud as standard. This means that you would be able to use it with any existing KlickFast docks that may be already installed on to your trading standards or local authority uniforms.

The Partner MK4 body camera is a fixed lens camera which unlike articulated lenses are designed to be difficult to move or knock and prevent footage from being filmed. In order to redirect the line of sight of the camera, you would need to adjust the position of where it is mounted on the body. This prevents assailants from simply hitting the lens down to prevent being filmed.

The Partner MK4 is made to be robust, it does not have any unnecessary weak points like a screen or an articulated lens. It has an IP67 rating and has been drop tested to 1.8 metres. The outer casing is made from rugged ABS which means that trading standards officers can rest assured that their body worn camera can withstand the rigors of the job.

Absolutely, it can. The Partner MK4 uses 2-factor night and low light functionality. The 4MP CMOS sensor will allow footage to be recorded even in low light environments. When the ambient lux levels drop toward darkness, the automatic infre-red lamps will kick in and allow you to record in greyscale. This means that if you are outside or night or doing a home visit and someone turns out the lights, you will still be able to capture footage.

The Partner MK4 is fully supported by our Technical Support team who are able to help with any issues you may have. Whether it is an initial DMES installation or ongoing support, our team will be able to assist you with any questions you may have.

There is a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty on parts and labour which means that if any part of your device has a manufacturing defect, you will be able to get it repaired at no extra cost to you.
